Malachai's Wondrous Tea Garden
Despite its rugged origins, Malachai’s Wondrous Tea Garden is slowly becoming a curiosity along the Wharves—a place where mercenaries, sailors, and traders can stop by not just to barter, but perhaps to sample a cup of the barbarian’s latest blend.
Whether it will become a genuine fixture of commerce or remain merely an eccentric warrior’s retreat remains to be seen, but for now, it stands as a testament to Malachai’s ambition, resilience, and unexpected love for the art of tea.
A Bastion of Strength and Serenity on the Wharves
Nestled on the southern end of the Wharves, just beside the old dock and storehouse of Ilias Ralesh, stands a once-forgotten warehouse now transformed into Malachai’s Wondrous Tea Garden. Once a dilapidated ruin, filled with years of rot, refuse, and forgotten cargo, the structure has been given new life under the ownership of the barbarian Malachai.
Upon purchasing the building, Malachai wasted no time clearing out the filth, restoring the sturdy wooden beams and reinforcing the walls to serve as both a stronghold and a place of commerce. The warehouse now operates as a functional storehouse, with goods moving in and out under the watchful eye of its formidable owner. While still a place of trade, Malachai’s vision has extended beyond mere storage—behind the building, he has cultivated a small but thriving garden, where he hopes to harvest his own tea. Though a strange pursuit for a warrior, Malachai sees the practice of tea cultivation as an act of discipline and patience, balancing his more primal instincts with something more refined.
Inside, the warehouse retains its rough, utilitarian charm. A large open space serves as both a storeroom and a meeting area, where crates and barrels are neatly stacked alongside a few mismatched chairs and tables for visitors or business dealings. A small but well-built kitchen allows Malachai to prepare simple meals and brew his fledgling tea blends, and a modest bedroom tucked in the corner provides him with a private retreat from the bustle of the city.
