Dmitri Valonis
Charismatic and curious, Dmitri welcomes newcomers to the city with open arms, particularly if they share his Rhennee heritage or possess the arcane talents of a spellcaster. However, his genial nature belies a calculating mind and a hunger for influence.
Dmitri Valonis has been driven by ambition since childhood, determined to rise as a leader among the Rhennee in the Greyhawk region. Now 25 years old, he is a compact 5'1", his stature a source of lingering insecurity masked by a sharp wit and boundless determination. His tanned skin and long, curly hair—usually tied back in a ponytail—give him the rugged charm of someone accustomed to life on the water.
Some months ago, Dmitri orchestrated a scheme to rig a barge race in his favor, hoping the resulting fame and fortune would secure his claim to the title of Prince of the Coin—a position of significant power within the Rhennee community. When his plans fell apart due to those who refused to aid him, Dmitri swore revenge. To this day, he nurses a simmering grudge, blaming his conspirators-turned-critics for his losses and plotting his next move to claim the power he believes is rightfully his.
During the party’s time in the Amedio Jungle, Dmitri has expanded his influence. Now commanding four barges and a crew of 12-16 men, along with around 75 workers, he has solidified his status as an aspiring Rhennee lord.
- Mornings: Spotted at the Silver Dragon Inn, scouting naïve adventurers who might serve his interests.
- Afternoons: Conducting business from a secluded table at the River Rat, flanked by his men.
- Evenings: After frequenting inns or brothels, he returns to his barge, where he plays the role of a true Rhennee noble.
