Personal history

My family were outcast by our fellow Yuan-ti for being dedicated to Oghma and refusing to worship demons. They escaped the Material Plane and went on the run, finding allies and means to travel between planes to keep my 14 older siblings hidden. Because I hatched from my egg on the Holy Day of Oghma, my parents saw this as a sign that I should be educated to a high degree. They took great risks to return to the Material Plane and send me to Lockmage to study magic, while earning my keep as a toilet cleaner. Unfortunately a sickness spread through the school when I was 18 and we all had to study at home for a year to avoid the spread. Returning to my family, who were by then hiding in Pandemonium, I had an epiphany. Witnessing a quasit fall into the River Styx and emerge as a foolish potato with wings, I sampled a little of the water and studied it to gain understanding of its effects. I realised I could learn much more of the secrets of the multiverse by exploring and studying in situ. I never returned to school, but filled hundreds of pages with observations of the people and events of the places I visited. Eventually I will be a powerful enough magic user, and knowledgeable enough, that I could apprentice for Oghma himself.
