Tony "Hale" Rapt
Tony "Hale" Rapt is a hard-hitting journalist turned editor-in-chief for the GRG. He values each member of his news team and directs them around Green Run as a Dispatcher would their Police Officers. Tony is quick to criticize and slow to praise but that's just cause he always expects the best from his team. And when you finally get that "Good Job Kid" you know you've impressed him.
Having been one of Green Run's earliest residents, Tony has seen every part of Green Run, sometimes against his will. Not too long after moving to town, Tony started a fledgling newspaper, The Green Run Gazette, doing all the reporting, writing, and editing himself. For the first few issues he was even printing them himself until partnering with a supplier after the Gazette took off, having much to do with the exclusive coverage of a chemical spill due to negligence on the part of the Green Run Scientific Society. Tony's article claims them to be a front for a secret government organization.
The Gazette continued to grow to a modest size in the coming decades, Tony would receive the nickname "Hale" as he stayed on as head reporter to run the Gazette into his late 50s, never slowing down for a moment, always on the heels of another lead. Tony decided to step down as head reporter in the summer of 1962, staying on the team as its Editor-in-Chief, though this didn't result in any decline in quality for the Gazette, Rapt's standards still being incredibly high for his reporters.
