Sam's Movie Theater

The Green Run Theater was formerly owned by Waldo Wyler, and was used to show the films of the time as well as for Waldo to showcase his own short films and projects before showings of popular movies. This led to mixed success, the townsfolk enjoyed his more basic lighthearted fare, but was less receptive to his forays into the Horror Genre. This led him to believe his place wasn't in moviemaking but in entertainment! He immediately closed down the theater and began building his own Theme Park.   For decades the theater sat dormant, the outer walls and marquee being maintained by the town and used for announcements, all while the inside collected dust. It became a popular spot for Urban Explorers. This is due to Waldo's choice to close the theater coming so suddenly, it almost appears as though life had just disappeared from the place. All the reels and projectors were still there, the concession stand still stocked and the "Now Showing" and "Coming Soon" posters still displayed as if no time had passed. While the concession stand was eventually looted by hungry explorers, most of the Theater remained untouched. Whether that be for fear of retaliation or respect of Wyler's work Pre-World of Wonder is unknown.   In early 1979, Samantha Masters moved into Green Run and while not initially looking for the extra work, fell in love with the Old Theater. Through Mayor Wilson's small business enrichment program, Sam was able to purchase the Theater from the Town and began renovating the space in preparations to reopen. With the help of her son, Eddie, they were able to get everything in working order (more or less) in time to open for the summer season, while they can't afford to get new films in just yet, they still have Wyler's old collection as well as a few hits from the past couple decades given as a gift from the Mayor in order to help with business a bit more.
