Treaty of Rockchester

A trade treaty involving House Grattanion, House Arrondon, House Bannerreach, and House Smith.

In 217, a major agreement was made between 4 of the 7 ruling houses in Greedpeaks in the large trade town of Rockchester. Rockchester, in the House Grattanion territory of Acton Straight, was chosen because of its central position in the realm, especially considering the location of the 4 involved Houses.   The agreement, formally recognised as the Treaty of Rockchester, saw 4 of the Houses open their borders up for extensive trade. Although on the face of it, the Treaty should have consolidated and improved relations in the realm, but it only heightened tensions and increased resentment from Houses not included in the agreement. In fact, the Treaty of Rockchester saw an increase in incitement and retaliation throughout the realm which escalated to some of the most infamous and heinous events in the history of the realm between 217-225.   The Treaty was never officially revoked and after The Peace of 225, it remained functional.
