Military action

The declaration and outbreak of the ongoing civil war in Greedpeaks.

On the 2nd of Tinder of 300, the Mediator of the Realm was murdered in the remote location of Myst in House Borefear territory. Found by the peasant children who supplied her with unusual ingredients for her potions and homemade instruments, the entire realm was alerted. News of the murder travelled throughout the region quickly; within a day or two it was common knowledge.   Two days later, on the 4th of Tinder, just before the start of summer, House Bannerreach issued a declaration of war against House Borefear and House Spikewren. The declaration stated that House Bannerreach had reliable intelligence that House Borefear and House Spikewren had conspired to commit the murder together in House Borefear territory and to hoard the 7 missing Artefacts. Due to House Borefear's alliance with House Arrondon, House Bannerreach was obligated to declare war on the watchmen of the west.   House Spikewren responded by issuing a declaration of war against House Bannerreach, House Borefear, and House Grattanion. House Grattanion hastily replied with two declarations of alliance to its two nearest Houses: House Sturm and House Smith. House Grattanion, House Sturm and House Smith formed a triumvirate of power in the North and North East of the realm, however, this alliance was tenuous and unreliable from the very beginning.   House Arrondon ended up at war through its alliance to House Borefear against House Bannerreach and House Spikewren.
