The Arundeal Market

In an extensive universe with eons of history, some places that once were tied to a place of land on a planet sometimes find themselves broken off and belonging onto to the void, in some dimensional pocket floating in the fabric of reality.
The Arundeal desert is one of these places.
Once home to roaming nomadic tribes that used to meet at certain oases to trade, now since it has been plucked out of time and space, one of the peoples has set down permanent roots at an oasis, creating a stable place for others to come and trade. Now with its strange location in the web of worlds, it has become a nexus for travelers from all over, from many worlds and dimensions. Though at first it was mainly found by accident, the traders welcomed the strange newcomers with open arms, and now the post is a full time market that sells goods from all kinds of cultures and peoples all over the universe.
As such, many of the local salespeople are known for being quite eccentric. One among these is Tailor Talbot, who has befriended and learned from many clothes designers and makers from a number of species and cultures. His designs now grace the backs of many who have visited the market, which seems to be a place that many still find by accident on their first excursion into the unknown, whether it be via magic or otherwise.

Industry & Trade

All kinds of shops are found here, from clothing shops to food stands to jewelry and other accessories, make up, lotions, perfumes, herbal remedies, seeds and flowers, exotic pets, tapestries, books, precious gemstones, magical items, and all sorts of trinkets and works from various cultures, from furniture to figurines to unique and luminous fabrics. Some are temporary booths that come and go but even more are now permanent fixtures that people make their livings from.
