Dabaiflow

Geography

The river stretches itself over the entire Omish territory. Starting from a mountain up north, close to the Runkan border, it flows towards the western sea and down through Omarus. It used to flow into Martensian territory as well, but as it is common for the Omish to suffer from Martensian "practice raids" near the border, the southern tribes that lived closest to the Martensian border had to fill up the end of the river with dirt after Martensians had poisoned the river to gain an advantage during one of those planned raids. This resulted in the southern part of the river to splinter into many smaller streams leading to the north west and south east.
Furthermore, it acts as a border between Runka and Omarus. And while the goddess reigning over Omarus, Mihora, has never been one to shy away from an effort to try and expand her territory to the south, she has always honored the border to her twin brothers country to the north.

Fauna & Flora

One of the most notable plants of the river is sempirain, a bright green grass you can find very close to the water in every season. During the warmer months, it produces little grains in the same color. Their mild yet zesty flavor make them a popular spice in Omarus, most notably used in sempibread.
The river itself also harbors a handful of different fish which is another important food resource for the Omish tribes.

History

The name Dabaiflow originated from the words "Dábái" for border and "flũnt" for flow, or river.

With the Dabaiflow being the biggest and longest river going through Omarus, it has served as a meeting and gathering place for many different tribes over the centuries. Since it flows through all of Omarus, it's easy to navigate and organise meetings. Letters with the meeting to happen south or north of the Dabaiflow are usually handed out when something of national importance is to be discussed. Naturally, it would be of great importance for the local forest guide to know the placing of each and every Omish tribe.
Since "south" and "north" are the only directions given, people would walk until they'd come across the meeting place. In and of itself, that's not a problem as most tribes usually end up meeting each other on the way and travel together. Tribes either taking their sweet time to arrive or feel the need to be the first ones to get there are more dependent of correct directions, however. Should they receive the wrong direction, they would surely walk until they arrive at the border to one of their neighbouring countries. Considering that Omish territory is the largest in all of Græwal, one could only imagine the frustration of such a pointless journey.

A Dedicated Tribe

Only having been founded 45 years ago, the Dabai tribe is a small community located near the Dabaiflow. Being fed up with their sedentary lifestyle, they split from a bigger tribe in the hopes to see more of Omarus. And so they make it a point to never stay too long at the same place, but always stay near the Dabaiflow for orientation purposes. They thank the river for guiding their freedom frequently and even have special ceremonies and festivities surrounding the river.

I love the theme of your article page! This gets seen quite rarely in written articles. I would love to know more of the multiple different factions and nations mentioned in the article. Maybe adding a tooltip with the CSS so that when you hover a mouse over a name, it gives a short explanation on what they are? A splendid article!

Thank you for your comment! I'm also in love with this theme <3 Græwal is quite colorful so it's a perfect match. I do plan on releasing proper articles for the different nations and cultures in this world, so those country names will hopefully be article links in the near future :)

I would totally give someone the wrong direction in revenge for having received the wrong direction... -_-

I can just imagine a mischievous chuckle from the crowd when somebody asks where the missing tribe in question is.
