Volunteer Enhanced Guard

The City Watch works diligently to protect the city from threats before they get out of hand, but when shit hits the fan and the city is put in mortal peril they have no choice but to rely on talented volunteer specialists. Pejoratively called the "Ratcatcher's Legion," the Volunteer Enhanced Guard (VEG) is the means to ensure those volunteers will be committed when the time comes. Adventurers in the city can apply to the VEG at this office.
The application process consists of a temperament evaluation followed by an applied trial. Adventurers can apply individually or as a group. Those who are accepted are given certain benefits while they remain in the city; a pass is issued allowing them to openly carry weapons, a small monthly stipend to cover gear upkeep is issued.
