Nathanial Camus

A proud member of House Camus, young Nathanial accepts his responsibility for the city and noblesse oblige with dignity. This is then, seemingly at contradiction with his double life as a member of the Scarlet Crows. While these two lives may seem to be at odds with one another\footnote{and indeed, they have collided in the past}, to Nathanial they're both the most natural thing in the world.
The young heir is a pragmatic individual who cares deeply for the city. Despite his position as a lord, decorum and tradition bind the hands of the nobility from doing all they can. Nathanial has tried to fix the city the "right" way. House Camus supports the Watch with gear. They sponsor fundraisers for bread lines. Their Bureau of Security works with law enforcement to crack down on drug use and vandalism. And it still isn't enough. The city still aches.
The streets are where real change happens. Yes, most of the Crows are thugs, but Nathanial has served as the moral lodestar in his months with them. He's always been the voice of reason for them. The one who advocates for diplomacy over violence. The one that speaks up when things go to far. But he cannot be everywhere at once, especially as he's spread thin across two lives. Despite risk of being overworked and burning out he fervently pushes forward, maintaining his above-board contact and making new friends in low places.
