Skirts' diversity means that hundreds of cultures and subcultures comingle in only a few dozen hectares. With each bringing their own folkways, traditions, and ways of life these cultures rub off on one another and blend. Each retains aspects of its own identity even as its adopted by new practitioners. In this environment, festivals thrive. As opportunities to share cultures in a positive environment community parades, carnivals, and circuses are cornerstones of life in Skirts. From the hackathons and projects expos of Smalltown to the religious holidays sponsered by the Church, something is going on somewhere in Skirts almost any given weekend.
