Baron

First established as a Barony, Baudelaire later became a border-territory when Pouleyron ceded territory to Medici prior to the current Baron ascending to power. With respect to Baudelaire, "Baron" is synonymous with "Marquess." Throughout much of Baudelaire's history, "Baron" has also been synonymous with the Sovereign, as the Baron has been the sovereign outside of transitional periods. Granmont finds itself today in an unprecedented transitional period, with the future of the Barony unclear to all.
