Jornal is a drow guard, formerly the lieutenant and lover of Lady Ilvyra, Jornal has fallen into disfavor after being scarred in a fight with a monstrous denizen of The Deepcaverns beneath Twilight Vale. Bitter at his loss of status, Jornal has turned his resentment towards his replacement and seeks to embarrass him. To that end, Jornal has plotted with the prisoners to help them escape. He has no interest in their escape or survival beyond the opportunity to embarrass Ilvyra’s new favorite and is acting purely out of spite.
