Ade and her twin brother Rik live in the outskirts of the Deep Gnome settlement of Melsnifell. They are from a poor family and scrape together mushrooms and fungi for their family from the Deepcaverns. On one of these foraging trips the pair were captured by a drow slaver party and taken to a drow outpost. Along with some of their fellow prisoners, they were able to escape from the prison and fled into the Deepcaverns.
