The Hattiest Hat
A flamboyant, wide-brimmed hat adorned with mismatched feathers, strange runes, and an air of mystery. Despite its eccentric appearance, the hat hums with minor magical energy, offering peculiar yet useful abilities.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
If the hat is removed or knocked off your head, it slowly floats back onto your head over the next 6 seconds (unless held down). If thrown or stolen, the hat reappears in your possession within 1 hour in the most dramatic way possible (landing on your head, appearing in your bag, dropping onto you from above). If you willingly bet the hat in a game of chance, it tilts slightly toward the winning option, giving you advantage on games of luck once per day.
Once per day, if you're completely surrounded, you can tap the hat and say a secret word to activate the Hat Emergency Escape System. The hat launches into the air, spinning wildly and making an absurdly loud noise and every creature (both enemy and ally) within 10 feet must make a DC 13 Wisdom save or be distracted for 1 round allowing you to escape without provoking attacks of opportunity.
