Imperial Parcel Service
The Imperial Parcel Service operates as a vital infrastructure within The Continent of Nauquan , connecting distant regions and facilitating communication and commerce originally founded by followers of Bhita Goddess of Art, Commerce, and the Modern World . With cutting-edge methods blending magic, technology, and traditional delivery, the service ensures efficiency and reliability across diverse terrains. Leveraging a form of teleportation circle, the heart and soul of the delivery service enables bulk shipments of parcels and letters to major hubs in primary cities. This system bypasses physical distance, allowing for swift delivery across the continent's farthest reaches. Those in more rural areas can choose to either travel or pay a service to a wayfarer to have the letter or message delivered to a central hub. Prior to the fall of the abericlase the parcel service ran efficiently with deliveries in the Technara Territory by way of magical cars now they have moved backwards slightly and must depend on clockwork creatures and young adventurers.
After arrival at hub terminals the mail and parcels are distributed out through various methods. Autonomous clockwork constructs navigate city streets, delivering parcels to residences and businesses. With the world having taken steps backwards, young adventurers can act as couriers from the hubs handle deliveries to smaller towns, remote villages, and dangerous territories depending on their rank. This continues the service runs and also allows young adventurers with easy delivery jobs that allow them a fair wage. The parcels and packages can also be picked up directly in the major hubs.
Services are designed to accommodate various clientele from commoners sending personal letters to merchants coordinating trade shipments. For additional fees magical seals and enchantments can be placed on parcels to ensure the safety and privacy of all correspondence
Structure
The head of the entire service that oversees its operations across the continent is called the Parcel General. They are responsible for strategic decisions, diplomatic relations, and maintaining alignment with the gods or principles the service upholds. Representatives from major cities where hubs are located are part of the council of overseers and ensure the smooth operation of the primary arcane services, hub terminals, and regional logistics. They report directly to the Parcel General.
There are multiple divisions that fall under the overseers that include the Arcane Logistics Division, the Mechanized Ops Division, and the Wayfarer's Guild Liaison offices. There are also local positions at the hubs for parcel handlers that sort mail and parcels at the primary hubs while others set up deliveries via the required divisions.
Culture
"A promise delivered" is an unspoken mantra. Every employee from parcel sorters to Parcel Master is instilled with a sense of duty to ensure parcels and messages reach their destination without fail. The service prides itself on remaining politically neutral even across contested borders or lands. The service employs people and creatures from all walks of life, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Every employee carries an insignia (like a badge or token) that identifies them as part of the organization and grants them safe passage and respect wherever they go.
- Service as Honor
- Joining the parcel service is considered a noble calling, especially among the Wayfarers Guild and arcane logisticians. Employees take pride in being part of something greater that connects the realm.
- Work-Life Balance
- While the work is demanding, there’s a strong emphasis on camaraderie, with organized festivals, game nights, and recognition events to keep morale high.
- Teamwork and Collaboration
- Departments are encouraged to collaborate—artificers work with couriers to refine delivery mechanisms; council members discuss issues with couriers from the guild all for the betterment to get the services back to how they were before the fall and to find even better ways of doing it.

History
The Imperial Parcel Service was founded by three visionaries: Taldri Dastor , a pragmatic gnome tinkerer; Lyseria Amaranthe , a brilliant elven enchanter with a deep understanding of arcane logistics; and Thargrin Balren , a stalwart dwarven visionary. Their shared vision was to connect the continent through a reliable, efficient network that transcended regional boundaries, fostering communication and unity to allow communication to occur for all manners of people both rich and poor.
During its early years, the service flourished, fueled by the advanced technologies of the Abericlase. This era saw the use of magically enhanced trucks, aerial constructs, and other innovations that allowed parcels to move at unprecedented speed. The founders worked tirelessly to expand their network, creating teleportation hubs in every major city and developing enchanted seals to secure correspondence. This period was marked by growth and prosperity. The Imperial Parcel Service became synonymous with trust and innovation, celebrated as an essential pillar of civilization.
The collapse of the Abericlase empire plunged the world into a dark age of instability. The infrastructure that supported the parcel service’s advanced technologies was devastated, forcing the organization to adapt. Trucks and aerial constructs became relics of the past and reliance on simpler methods—like couriers and localized magic—became the norm. Despite these challenges, the service endured. Under Lyseria Amaranthe’s leadership, the organization focused on preserving the core of its operations, maintaining teleportation hubs, and developing new partnerships to keep deliveries running.
About nine years ago, the emergence of the Wayfarer’s Guild provided a solution to the growing need for manual delivery in difficult terrains. After a few years of negotiations, the Wayfarer's Guild was able to contract themselves out to the IPS. Young adventurers eager for work suddenly found a steady source of income delivering parcels to remote or dangerous locations. The collaboration between the parcel service and the guild has been highly successful blending the service’s logistical expertise with the guild’s adaptability.
