The weapon radiates a faint, numbing chill, and frost lingers on whatever it strikes. Holding it without protective gloves or magical resistance causes a prickling cold sensation, as if grasping a glacier itself.

When you hit a creature with this maul, the target takes an additional 1d6 cold damage as icy energy seeps into their body, slowing their movements slightly. While attuned to this weapon, you gain resistance to cold damage, and your breath is always visible in the air, regardless of the temperature.
