5. To War
Manipulating the jump from the teleportation circle as she plans to "take them off of the table for a while". This will give the party a chance to talk amongst themselves and to gain a short rest.
During a long rest, Krorone will visit dot in his dreams. Dayar will be reforged as best as it can be. Due to the influence of undeath, the star smith's spirit was shattered and much like the sword...only fragments remain. Lucid (being a child of fate and desinty) was gifted with a fraction of the star smith's spirt and although he cannot reforge Dayar completely, he can repurpose it better for the upcoming battle. She will also discuss his faith and the fact that they fall more towards the moon rather than embracing her fully, although dot with the duality is getting it...slowly. It is not her place to lay out the ground work for their beliefs, it is her place to enforce the policies that are in place. She will also reveal that the weapon is forever tied to him now, a teather of his soul and should the string snap then so will he to ensure that his role of truthseer is fulfilled and only when necessary should he act as executioner. The temporary enactment of the star smith in Lucid will be sufficient for now; however, her suggestion would be that he find himself in a position where he can abjure the truth from the matter in an attempt to locate the fragments of the star smith. There must be balance between light and dark and there must be balance in the dark for both fear and compassion. There is a star smith there in Zedsia as well and they wear the facade of their dwarven god due to not knowing who to trust because of what had happened to dot. She will tell him to show them the weapon and they will know what to do. they will associate him to the moonweaver of this continent.
War will be happening once they get out of the time slip and five days will have passed. the freedom they had in the school will be gone as they are busy making armaments for the reserves.
The group will have no choice but to go to Zedsia and have the sword reforged there. After some dialogue because the ties to the fey in the magic forest are strong there tinkles can reach out to Lucid and allow him to see his mother and to put things in writing. Scraps and gunthar will not be around, but there will be others there like pixies, satyrs, theh wind elemental, and some eldarin(sp?).
Lucid can speak to his mother and she will embrace him and be at peace and will talk long about the choices that she had to make in order to ensure that he was kept alive knowing full well what he was forced to do and beg him not to seek revenge and to just live their lives here, away, and happy.
While the forge is firing up and hammering out the sword hordes of undead will attack and eventually the lich general will appear to fight the group. They must protect the forge against wave after wave of undead until the sword is complete in which Ignor can. It just so happens that tonight is the night of a full moon and they can moon forge it together, but they are going to have to convince them to do it. So, the two players reap the rewards of their blessing for the first and only time. Once the sword is complete Henry will receive a message from arty. "Hello lesser me, I believe it's time that you and had had words. I am in the grand lecture hall at the magic school."Arty will reach out to Ignor and call him the lesser version and request that he come to the grand auditorium in the magic school.
A thud will hit the door as they approach it and they will hear ethan yelling out, "This wasn't part of our deal!" and they will come in to find the hag murdered arty and has removed the hand and eye. Ethan will be dying and bleeding out. The hag will take nebnuss and leave into the astral sea. Ethan explain that he was the one that orchestrated everything and that he knew nebnuss was not his daughter, but seeing her now like this he couldn't take it and the hag took him out. As his dying wish (the party will probably save him), he will open up the gateway to the astral sea. Everyone will fall into the astral plane. The party will be pulled in demon slayer style fall onto the land that had been sucked in by Tara performing the ritual of the deep. The portion of the cursed island floating in the astral sea will be the final battle ground; however, the temple will have been reformed and rebuilt where they will have to go through the last dungeon before getting to the alter to stop Ethan, the dracolich, and the acolytes of Vecna. The final battle will be very soon. The last dungeon will be the floating ruins of the temple. The hag will be the final boss and she will use Chloe's essence to formulate a dracolich.
Once the defeat happens, Ignor will stab nebnuss, the sword and the hand and the eye will disinentegrate and Angelina's essence will gently embrace Ignor's cheek. "I'm so proud of you son. You were able to do what I couldn't. Please, take care of this innocent...and me...so one day I can return."
Because the hag is dead the island around them begins to crumble in its loss of power and Chloe is able to open a portal to there so they can get out. They'll have to run, run, run to be able to get there.
A few days pass. The war has come to a close and the Iron Parliament has been all but destroyed along with a good bit of Trosall and the surrounding areas. There is a treaty though and Theodin will be putting new leadership in place; however, he has been advised to keep nebnuss and her mother as part of the group. The strife for war is now over.
Smithy gets a chance to get his mother back. Ignor can now take over the school. Volii can do his thing. Dot will be offered a position under nebnuss in the iron parliament who now has a mechanical spider hand and an eye patch. A tear will open up into the fabric of reality and lucid will be beckoned to go to his mother and tinkles.
The scene will fade out and it will open back up in a bar with a band in the background and the hat taking a sip of whiskey and puffing on a cigar talking about freedom and offers some to Arty's wife. She'll pat her stomach and shake her head and he'll laugh forgetting. "Well Lucid, you've gone beyond my expectations...although it's a shame I couldn't tell your mother all about your exploits. Now, this is a celebration! Drinks all around and where's my new recruit...sing me a song bard." Oh, it's Arty...-play ending song-
