Description: Azathoth, known as the Keeper of Secrets, the Hoarder of Knowledge, and the Unknowable, represents the eldritch horror that lies beyond the stars, embodying knowledge that is best left unknown. He is often considered a friendly rival and occasional lover of Réaltín, the lady of stars.
Role: Scholars who reach dead-ends in their research may seek out Azathoth for answers to questions they have yet to ask. However, the knowledge gained from him is often incomprehensible to mortal minds, leaving many returning mad or unable to grasp what they have learned. Some may even choose to spend an eternity within Azathoth's realm, delving into the vast expanse of knowledge that he holds.
Realm: Azathoth's realm is a great, endless library known as the "Sea of Knowledge" or the "Ocean of Pages." It contains thousands of books written in every imaginable language, organized in a manner that mortal minds cannot hope to comprehend. Within this realm, Azathoth's creations roam, including beholders whose paranoid imaginations become reality, ancient aboleths with their eternal memory and eternal hatred, mind flayers that feed on intellects, and arcanaloths that organize the library's contents and constantly seek to add to it.
