Samiel

Samiel was a Primordial of war and valour, and the second birthed entity created by Khalisto. Being a primordial, he was tasked with ensuring justice among all greater influences within existence. As the Architect was too busy ensuring existence didn't collapse, Samiel was ultimately tasked with preserving what was living within it, during their existence. As death was inevitable for all, he created Haven as a funnel of where the energies of life went, where it all could be reused to make new life. As time passed however, Samiel grew from an otherwise calm and collected entity, to a spiteful and angered one.
I am the sword of the highest skies. I am the wingless god of angels. I am the might of the duel, the power of hatred driven into the killing blow. I am the Primordial of War! Where you wage your petty squabbles, I judge your valour. Where you demand justice, my spirit gives aid. You call me by many names, but there is only one you must fear. I am Samiel, the Archangel of Justice, the Archangel of Hatred! Grovel beneath my feet, for your world is mine, and you best remember that. — The Primordial of Justice and Valor, Samiel

Description

Samiel's current description is the only one that could be found on record. An armored soldier with a cape made of angel feathers, one feather, one angel.

As a primordial, Samiel had unimaginable power that could rival even that of the Architect. Being capable of reshaping reality with the snap of his fingers, he chose to draw his sword instead. There was no justice in abusing his power, when he could test the might of those who wished to test his battle prowess. Many fell beneath the primordial, however none died in a duel against him. If he knew beforehand there was no chance for their victory, he deemed there would be no right in taking their life.
Samiel, despite the current spiteful and sour demeanour, acted up according to his titles. He was just and fair, though blunt and cruel. He saw no point in "sugarcoating" the matters he got involved in. When there was truth to be spoken, he would outwardly tell it, no matter the pain it could cause. He however, never involved himself when mortals were judging other mortals. Even if he personally would disagree with the matter, he knew that true justice was only served at his throne.

Personality

Samiel is rarely ever seen without his sword drawn. Being an entity of war and judgement, he spent most of his time either soaked in the blood of his enemies, or casting down the hammer of justice within the halls of his throne. Samiel never picked sides within a battlefield, he laid down judgement upon those he deemed that deserved it. His appearance on any battleground was due to someone having acted against the Laws of War. Then, all who stood against him, or attempted to stop him, would also fall beneath his blade. Often, Samiel ended with fighting both sides in a conflict.   Many believed that Samiel was biased towards his subjects, however, an infamous war between demons and angels, had Samiel flying with the colours of Qu'Wampa, the King of Demons. This particular war seemed to have been waged, as a group of angels had flown down into the deepest reaches of Hell, to steal the Staff of Qu'Wampa. Their argument, when discussing the matter with Samiel, was that "such an item should never be held by the likes of demons". Samiel, irked, waged war upon Haven with Qu'Wampa's own army. This event was promptly called Haven's First Fall. He later rebuilt Haven himself.

Samiel is also known for actively making himself weaker. The armor he wears stops him from using primordial magic, the body he chose as an avatar is far more limited than his real body, he can use all magic but only uses magic from what he either wears or carries, and finally, cut off his own wings as he strongly believed flight was making things too unfair.

Abilities

Samiel possesses reality bending abilities, however chose to ignore most primordial abilities he was capable of using.
Samiel preferred casting magic through items he wore or carried. He gained speed from his cape and the ability to cast light and shadow magic using his sword.

Activities

Samiel oversaw the judgement of all beings, even gods, and ultimately chose their fate when presented in front of his throne. Otherwise he acted as a patron of war, who gave boons to those who could convince him, or outright joined the battles personally.

Relationships

The demons had a close relationship with Samiel, as they often dug out injustice within the realms of mortals. Furthermore, Samiel had ended the war between angelic and demonic kind, and even allowed them to interbreed. His personal relationship with Qu'Wampa, was a strong one, as they often conversed on behalf of mortals, to the extent where Samiel would ask for the demon king's opinion on many matters. Otherwise he would seek the council of Olemn, the eldest demon, in hopes of enlightenment.

Samiel seemed to have a bit of disdain for the angels, despite being their creator. They were power hungry and narcissistic, and often belittled mortals due to their limited lives. The one race he punished the most was definitely those of the angelic bloodline, though the actual reason behind his offensive behaviour towards them is related to a disagreement. Many times have angels risen up against Samiel, and always had they fallen again. It is believed that angels despise that their creator mingles with demons and mortals alike, and have often demanded that they conquered them. Samiel would never agree to such, which would prove a good reason behind their dislike of each other.

The Children of Samiel

A simple though universally accepted term for those who religiously followed Samiel. These followers held the wrathful light of Samiel, simply being a magical source they could channel from to defend themselves. Samiel often responded to his followers, listening intently to their wishes. Though, they were dreadfully aware of his sternness, as he barely ever granted any of their demands, unless they presented a great reason. The followers would make every contact the most important event of their lives, as the respect they had for the primordial was nearly unmatched.

History

Samiel was known for the many wars he waged, often to dismantle groups that threatened the balance of reality itself. Without his pressence, the existence many would now find themselves in, would be far darker and twisted.

Due to Samiel being a primordial of war, many wrongfully believed he would demand blood sacrifices, or to be fed the burnt bodies of the enemies they conquered. This, however, was a great misunderstanding. The blood Samiel demanded was from those who brought injustice upon the many, so that they could be cast before the Throne of Justice.

Samiel had achieved many things in his time, if not a war it would be solving disputes between great powers, or putting true villains to justice. Some of his known deeds were:
  • The war against the Horathiem, which still stands to this very day.
  •
  • Branding Solomon Yora with the demonic curse Hayens
  •
  • Making peace between angels and demons
  •
  • Creating weapons of mass destruction, that are now wielded by either himself or champions of his choice
  •
  • Stopping the Architect from erasing humanity from existence
  •
  • Preventing Olemn from casting Goliath into the void
  •
As the angels of Haven had made their choice to wage war towards mortal kind, Samiel had chosen to give them a personal visit to persuade them into reconsidering. However, the council of Haven made it clear that they no longer wished to listen, they only knew what was right for them, and it was absolute power over the mortal races. Despite Samiel's attempts, the angels had made their mind. So he did what he thought best for Haven; to slaughter the council. Not without making a point first, however, as he then cut off his own wings to announce his separation from angelic kind. Without much trouble, he cut down the council, and planted them upon the spires of Haven's throne, for all angels to see.

Samiel wasn't finished, however, as he needed a new weapon to bring the fight to the army that had already dispatched. Bringing a few loyal angels with him, who also had rid themselves of flight, they ventured to Goliath to craft a blade fit for the primordial.
Upon Goliath, Samiel had approached the fire titans, demanding they made him a weapon powerful enough to take on the angelic forces. In return, he granted them a new forge, made entirely of primordial metals. They happily made him the weapon, though he had to bring the reagents himself.

Venturing with his loyalists into the void, and then back to Haven's throne, he brought back two gems: One of pure darkness, one of pure light. Lastly he brought a piece of golden alloy that sprouted from the Throne of Justice. The outcome of these items made the Realmbreaker, a sword with a blade of perfect harmony between light and darkness, and a hilt powerful enough to keep them balanced.

He armed his loyalists, and went immediately to war. The clash of Samiel and the angelic forces were legendary, though none can claim they stood a chance against their creator. With few loyalists fallen, Samiel had only lost a handful against their thousands. The remaining angels retreated and eventually heeded the demands of Samiel, creating a new council of the loyalists who proudly followed him into war.
