Varan Autumnwhisper

Trapped within the time-bubble in Iallon, the party met Varan. After some discussion he described himself thus: “I am a Nightshade of the Empire, a Shadow Knight,” he says after long drink from wine bottle. “We are… or were… the left hand of the emperor. We do that which must remain Unseen.” Says he's there to kill the Emperor's clone, and has a some sort of magical artifact that was supposed to "slow down time and then stop it."
Seems like a highly trained spy, also adept at magic.  Plays everything close-to-the-vest.
