Ancient Journal found in Annarius
Something went horribly wrong, and enough energy came through the conduit to destroy Silvasari. Sabotage? Did they know? I barely managed to reach the Gate ahead of the blast. After landing in Elenath, the shockwave hit and fiery destruction rained down. I pray for my family in Annarius, but I fear their fate may be the same. I pray for this world.

It’s been a week since the Beginning of the End. Elenath is dead, but in denial. The farms are gone. The water is poison. The city is in ruins. The fires are gone – nothing to burn but somehow smoke still chokes everything. Food is running out – it’s just a matter of time. Ilphas shattered the world. Was it worth it? Did we even stop them?
…
They came with the darkness, and when the light finally dawned we counted the dead. Over 300. At least they won’t be hungry anymore.
…
The gate looks intact, but there’s no way to tell if it’s clear on the other side. The destruction and rubble here make that doubtful. I’m leaving anyway; better to die in transit than slowly starve. At least I will be close to my family.
