-13 days to temporal transit
Dad sent us out hunting again. I've worked hard at finding this Vault of Isengrim he described having seen in the Chronoscope, and I think I might have found it in a small mountain-chain on the southern tip of Dain. Navigating the politics of surface folk is normally more trouble than its worth, so me and Ben are bringing a personal airship. It sounds like he's bringing a lot of guns on the journey, and I can't blame him. Last time got pretty dicey.
I think I can hear dad and Isaak arguing again, pretty loudly this time. Isaak just came back from gathering the Stormcities and he's mad at dad for sending us of on "childish adventures". I'll show him! I've already designed the first weapons, I just need a powerful enough magical battery to power it. Isengrim's Vault should hold what I need...
-2 days to temporal transit
Me and Ben have been travelling for ten days but we finally made it. We had to be careful getting past the aerial defenses of these akshusians, but we managed to slip past without being discovered. We found a hole in a mountain where it was said Isengrim's Vault was supposed to be. Ben has rappelled down into it with his guns and he says that there seems to be an ancient ruined library in there, along with different magical artefacts. Something about black stones emiting low-level magical signals. I can't wait to see them for myself. I hate hearing about ruined libraries, but thankfully thats not a problem to us, we just have to rig up our equipment.

The time-anchor is ready and we're about to transit to Isengrim's Vault a few hundrer years ago. Wish me luck, book.
9 days since temporal travel
This last week has been amazing! There is so much knowledge and lore here, just left behind by those stupid-smart elves. And its mostly unprotected! I suspect we tricked the defenses with our temporal transit, so we can look through this hoard of lore unguarded. These "fulgurites" are extremely interesting! They remind of what I've heard of the Stormwall, magical batteries that drains magical energy. These books speak of planar teleportation, granting constructs limited sentience and powerful feats of magic. I still have no idea where the fulgurite comes from, the books are incredibly obtuse on the subject, but I have come much closer to understanding advanced automatons like those used by the Ancient Elven Empire! If we could find a steady source of fulgurites they could supply our magical battery needs, but until such a time we may have to look for another battery.
But this journey isn't a failure, the automatons have taught me much and even though I will need some sort of way to power my own versions of them I am sure they will one day be very useful to dad's work.
