Vampire

The bloodsucking parasitic breed of vampires are the topic of terror and folklore across the known world. Red eyes in the dark, the flash of teeth and the crimson letting of blood from long talons. To ordinary folk, vampires belong in fireside stories, but many hunters know that vampires are terribly real.
Few understand their story, even among vampirekind, but records are stored in the Gold Dragon Temple in Aurumis which reveal something of the truth. The first vampires were created by the Grand Necromancer, gifted with terrible sanguine potential and midnight power. When they betrayed their lord and master, he punished them with a terrible curse. The Gulthias were cursed to degrade further and further into cruel trees, while the Kahn's lose control of their flesh as it twists and the Astrighai lose themselves in eternal savage bloodlust.
