Noble Armies

The Noble Armies of the Gold Empire are the many varied regiments, companies, hordes and formations of the different provinces that together build up the Gold Empire. Most of these serve in their home provinces to keep the peace, keep rebels in line and protect from potential invaders, but some of them are Imperial Armies. The Imperial Armies are selected by the Bronze Metal Church for their loyalty, tenacity and field prowess, and used in imperial overseas conflicts. These Imperial Regiments are paid for and supported by the Bronze Metal Church, which pays them their pensions after retirement, organizes their grants and land allocations. The Imperial Armies are thus loyal to the greater Gold Empire, rather than their home provinces.
Some of the Noble Armies are relatively general in their use, such as Ye'orite spearmen and Whiesian cavalry, while some units are highly specialized, such as Tveiharran wyvern-riders and construct-dragons of Ashefell.
