Medusa

Medusae are powerful magical creatures with hair of snakes and a petrifying gaze. The immortal medusae were once beautiful mortals who came to worship Graz'zt, but who in various ways fell from his good graces. Creatures of vanity and conceitedness, as all followers of Graz'zt are, these hopeless mortals have been punished with the greatest terror of all: that no one will ever look at them and regard their beauty again. A few have however taken the curse willingly over the millenia, following the footsteps of the legendary Kiera Stonegaze, dedicating themselves to Graz'zt in eternity. These are known as arch-gorgons.
