Crimson Hand

The Crimson Hand is an order of drow daemon-hunters who protect the drow nations from cthonic cults, fight abyssal invasions and safeguard ancient ruins of the twilight elves. The Crimson Hand has fortresses, informants and forces all over the Underdark, though individual commanders are often so far apart that one fortress and its resources must protect a large area. Many of the drow nations mistrust the Crimson Hand, as it has with its prodigious resources and intelligence more than once tried to dominate the drow. Each time this has happened, however, the drow nations have united in persecution of the Crimson Hand. The order is now but a shadow of its former glory, having been driven to the edge of extinction several times. It has, however, learned it lesson.

Structure

The Crimson Hand is composed of many fortresses, each of which is led by a commander. The commander answers to none except other commanders and is in charge of how to prosecute their war against daemonkind and how to manage their duties. There is thus great variation in how different fortresses work, but they are all united
