Ali Kale (a.k.a. Al-Saif)
Al-Saif is the deadly leader of the Knife sect. Once known as "Easifat Rish", the Tempest of Blades, Al-Saif spent his young days as a mercenary and hero for his people, and was central in many of the conflicts of early akshusian independence using his psionically enhanced fighting prowess. He retired ten years ago, but took up his blades again when king Ibrahim al-Iliesar Tanin killed his seven children during the glassing, along with several of his grandchildren.

Al-Saif's greatest gift is his psionic abilities, which he uses to defeat his enemies with ruthless efficiency.
Chronokinesis
Al-Saif oldest psionic ability, one that he even practiced subconsciously before his psionic awakening, is chronokinesis, the control of time itself. In the old days, Al-Saif used this ability to move faster, shunting himself forwards in time and moving with incredible speed. It was this ability that earned him the name Easifat Rish, the Tempest of Blades. In his older age, Al-Saif can even use this ability to manipulate other's timeflow, slowing them down and dulling their senses. Illithid Exosuit
The original Knife suit, far less subtle than the actual Knife suits, this one was made by the illithids to physically and psionically strengthen the owner. Al-Saif can no longer remove it, as he has been bound to its advanced life support systems. The exosuit, when worn with its helmet, even allows the wearer to survive in astral space conditions for a limited time.
