Solrune: Deathcare Practices

History

Some say that in the old days, back before the Church of the Dawn Sol led Solrune that the dead were buried simply. However due to the Church of the Dawn Sol's strict and zealous stances on undead and necromancy burial of the deceased became strongly disapproved of with the holy kingdom now practicing divine cremation.

Participants

By its nature, a cremation must be lead by a Priest of Sol either active or formerly active within the Church.

Observance

With the belief that cremation releases the soul into Ather's embrace all cremations occur strictly during the day often requiring the deceased to be preserved overnight or until a priest is available.
