Roserra
Deep within the plane of the faerie, where endless summer reigns and mad creatures roam the wilds, lies a land most strange. It is known as the humming fields, ruled by a queen whose name no one truly knows. Days fill weeks in the humming fields, and the flowers begin to bloom day and day again.
Death has no home in this realm, and the terrors of life run wild. Hushfolk. The roserra come from a land of neverending spring, where the flow of time feels almost stagnant. They are irritated by the sudden passing of days and hate the cold weather that they believe to be the work of the unseelie court. Seelie Guards. It is told that the roserra were created by the lady of the humming fields, a powerful archfey from the seelie court. To this day, most of the roserra protect her lands and fight off the influences of the unseelie fey. Sleepy Soldiers. Roserra spend half of their days sleeping and have trouble adjusting to the fast passing of time outside of the humming fields if they choose to leave. Outside, they are constantly tired and can't stay awake for longer than six hours. Under sudden stress, roserra tend to fall asleep. Resourceful Combatants. The combat strategies of roserra are shaped by their disadvantages. They meticulously plan every step and tend to overprepare for every scenario to avoid surprises or sudden stress and rely on ambushes and traps instead of open combat. Most roserra try to tame and train every beast they come across, ride everywhere to save energy, and use larger beasts as distractions during fights. But their two most important skills are their ability to command plants, with which they create obstacles, and the sleeping poison their thorns naturally produce.
