Going Back to Kingmaker
General Summary
The Story So Far...
A recap for you as we return to Kingmaker. The party met while waiting in line to enter the hilltop manor of Swordlord Lady Jamandi Aldori of Restov as she sent out a "call to heroes" to help settle the Stolen Lands just south of Brevoy. The Stolen Lands have been attempted to be settled time and time again but fail due to the wandering bandit settlements and ferocious monsters that ruin those settlement attempts. The swordlord invites these adventurers to her manor in order to gather them and assign missions and charters so that they can begin to drive out the bandit organizations and clear out the dangerous monsters so that the land can be used once again. The reward of these charters would that the parties who succeed shall be allowed to settle a kingdom and be named baron or baroness of that kingdom as well as recognized officially by the region of Brevoy as said titles.
The party finished their feast and were escorted to bed to rest to where in the morning they would be able to discuss their charter with Lady Jamandi. However, the manor was attacked by the Black Tear Cutthroats whom were hired by an unknown individual to put a stop to the adventurers trying to settle the Stolen Lands. Casualties happened as the raid was successful in some areas but our party joined together and working with the guards were able to put an end to the raid and befriend a giant in the process.
Lady Jamandi was very thankful for their help and let them know that she looks forward to their success in the Stolen Lands as the raid shown her, more than ever, that the settling must take place.
The next morning, the party gathered and set out towards the west of Restov and into the Rostland Hinterlands towards Oleg's Trading Post. Along the way they met some wildlife to whom almost killed them, a strange alchemist and his faerie dragon, and some poachers who cause the orphaning of a pack of wolf pups and cheesing off the witch of the group.
At Oleg's Trading Post, the party gained Oleg and his wife's support while helping them deal with a bandit problem that was making them getting strong-armed into giving them their post's income in order to have their "protection". This put the party onto the trail of the Stag Lord, to whom they need to remove from the area so they can settle their kingdom.
With the interrogations of the captured bandits from their second attempt at taking Oleg's money, the party learned that they need to take out and get information from the Thorn River Bandits at their camp located in the Greenbelt. So the party traveled through the thick endless forests to find their camp along the river's edge. Taking out the bandits and interrogating their leader, they have an idea of what and where the Stag Lord is residing.
With searching the camp, the group found a magic circle of mushrooms in which they stepped into and found themselves teleported into a strange dream realm where multiple trials throughout the Multiverse took place being lead by an unknown power whom was giving them a "tour" so it would seem. A new friend they met named Kairi and Bruno as they traveled through the realms as well as a talking cat in a twisting labyrinth were among just a few of the strange encounters they had. It the end, Kellan met her patron whose name is Serendipity and gained some insight as to why @Illonwë found her those years ago.
With that being said, the party was able to finish their tour and return to their own universe and found that only a few moments have passed instead of it being the days or weeks it had been. While finally gaining their bearings, a fiery sphere shot out of the sky and crashed near them, creating a crater to which they looked to investigate what or who came crashing to the surface of Golarion. The smoke began to clear and as they were finally able to make out what happened.....
