Burrow Lurker
A burrow lurker is a humanoid creature, whose appearance reminds of a stone giant or a golem. They keep themselves mostly burried under ground, until prey is allured by flowers, bushes or even trees growing on their heads when they suddenly jump out of the ground and attack.
They exist in various sites, from the size of a hand to the size of a large house. Their skin resembles dry earth or cracked stone and they collect sharp stones and are able to grow them into their mouth to make up for their Lack of teeth.
Burrow Lurkers eat everything they can kill, and as they rely mostly on prey touching their bait-like head extension, they attack pretty much everything that touches them (although they will rarely be triggered by prey to small to be worth the effort and are sensitive enough to earthly vibrations to assess the weight of nearby moving creatures).
The bait on the head of a burrow lurker can change over time, depending on the environment he lives in and the size of prey he seeks to allure. Most of the time, the bait will look like something, that is already present in the area, but there are also reports of burrow lurkers baiting with lush grass in dry veldts or pretty gem stones in mountain areas.
There are speculations, that burrow lurkers with plants on their heads are able to feed from the sunlight like a plant, to survive when food is scarce. This has not been proven yet.
