Usually, criminals that would be killed for their crimes would instead be imprisoned until they are about to die, and are left randomly in the wild. This does not apply to outsiders when a horde of raiders attack the Seroentine, in which case killing is seen as justifiable. This taboo also doesn't apply to Yuan-ti, as killing them is seen as a way to cleanse the world of evil.

History

In the year 52wr, a fey lord had gotten frustrated with a riddle one of his subjects had asked. The Riddle, which was "What is a snake that stands on two feat?" had stumped him so much, that he went to Ovak, and turned a group of Garter snakes into the Seroentine, and answered that they where a snake that stands on two feat. The answer to the riddle was actually "Asmodeus." This new species would band together in small tribes to survive. Because of where they lived, most creatures would not trust them, but eventually would become friendly to them. In 300wr, people would begin treating Seroentine with fear and hatred. Confused, they eventually found out about the creation of the Yuan-ti, and learned that, like them, these creatures were snake people. They also soon learned that the race was created by Human cultists of the god Dendar the Night Serpent, and that they are almost unanimously evil. This fact had the Seroentine realize why everyone began hating them, and resented the Yuan-ti for besmirching their name. In 500wr, a Seroentine tribe called "Breezslirs" invaded and destroyed a Yuan-ti temple, discovered what they do, and caused their hatred for the Yuan-ti to grow. For the most part, Seroentine were unaffected by history. Almost no tribes were enslaved by Dragons, due to their short lifespan, and because all Seroentine tribes have a day of mating causing dragons to be impatient when the inevitable mating day happens. However, during the Calamity event, a few tribes were destroyed, and their tribesmen becoming what was effectively Yuan-ti Anathemas. These Seroentine's minds where warped, and made them angry and insane, thinking they were blessed by a god of death and must bring destruction and ruin to all. They would attack and Enslave another Yuan-ti temple, but would keep Purebloods and Type 1 Malisons alive as their slaves. They also worked with mind flayers to create horrible monstrosities referred to as "Yovrakon."

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Seroentine are generally kind to other races, as they need to be living in an environment with so much danger. However, the only acception to this rule is the Yuan-Ti. They have a hatred rivaled by no other race for Yuan-Ti, due to them making snake humanoids seem evil and manipulative.   Seroentine hate Apidites, though the reason why is unknown.
