Government

The Country is run by a single High Lord, who is currently Vargess Manovika. He also runs the court of law, functioning as a judge for the people of Ostka, and assigns judges for frontier towns in Ovak. The High Lord controls what laws are made, and how much the people are taxed.

Defences

Ostka has the Dragon Hunters as a form of guard and soldiers. Ontop of Castle Foresam, lies a gargantuan Ballista, which fires building-sized bolts, which is operated by 50 people. Outside of the city is a colossus, a mysterious construct, armed with a halberd.

Infrastructure

Several Guilds from different countries have moved into Ostka, who sells exploration equipment, rations, and weapons. The mercenary group, named The Dragon Hunters, works as a form of city guard for both Ostka and the smaller frontier towns, though their headquarters are not located in Ostka. Finally, the outer city is host to many animal herders, farmers, and miscellaneous entertainment spots, such as the horse racing course "The Jorgan."

Districts

Baroska

One of the Outer City districts, Baroska is mainly a farming and herding district. Outside of farmhouses and pastures, Baroska is also home to a horse racing track called The Jorgan, a tavern called The Coop, and a synagogue dedicated to the gods Galdor, Gaia, Vorkar, and Paylona. All are allowed to move through the District, though people need to make sure they have permission to move through the farm land from the owners.

Summer District

One of the Outer City districts, the Summer District is where most of the Dragon Hunters who work in Ostka live. This was done on behest of the 45th Red Dragon Hunter, Garomal. Anyone who enters the district and are not apart of The Dragon Hunters must wear a badge to demonstrate that they are either simply passing through, or have business with someone within the district. Those that are found without such a badge may be arrested, questioned, and tested to see if they are dragons.

Fools Ring

One of the Outer City districts, Fools Ring is a poor district that formed by people who where not allowed into the city, either being Soothra tribes trying to escape from the horrors of Ovak, disheartened frontiersmen who's town was destroyed, or even Ostka citizens who failed where found guilty of a serious crime. It's technically not apart of Ostka, and was only allowed to form because The Dragon Hunters where not hired to kick them out.

Sunset District

One of the Outer City districts, The Sunsest District is where a majority of Orcs, Kobolds, Goblinoids, Drow, and Duergar live. They are a tightknit community who watch out for eachother, despite distrust by a majority of the citizens of Ostka. The citizens of the Sunset District are distrusting of outsiders, especially people who are not the same races as themselves.

Joan's Gate

One of the Gate Districts. Joan's gate was named after the 40th Red Dragon Hunter Joan, who led a defense against the second Crimson King Torrakomierv. Ironically, the defense was in East Town, as where Joan's gate is located was mostly untouched during the fight. Joan's Gate is where most merchants live.

West Gate

One of the Gate Districts. West gate is a middle-class district, and is usually the first district most travelers see, due to the buildings in the district being towers. Some of the buildings and houses are on the wall themselves. It's populated by explorers, archeologists, and adventurers.

South Town

One of the Inner City Districts, South Town is where most folk in Ostka lives. It's a district of towers and bridges, with most residences being located in the towers.

Sinrise Road

One of the Inner City Districts, it's where most of the trade happens in Ostka. The river that flows through is often filled with river traders and the occasional oceanic race

East Town

The Noble District of Ostka, it is famously risen higher than the other districts, with stairs that go up 50 feet. The stairs are located in front of the high lords castle, at the gates, and on the bridges into East Town.
