The Flow of Life Force and The Will of Soulforce

The metaphysical essence of Life Force and Soulforce plays a central role in the spiritual and existential dynamics of Alathor.

Life Force:

This cosmic energy originates from The Giver, a primordial entity of creation. Life Force is the animating energy that flows into all living things through the Sun, creating and sustaining life. It’s not simply an energy of animation but a connection to the very fabric of the universe. All things that live, from the smallest plants to the sentient beings of Alathor, draw upon this Life Force

Soulforce:

This refers to the unique, individual essence or spirit of sentient beings, different from the general flow of Life Force. It was the primary seed planted by the Harbingers into the newly formed world of Alathor, meant to corrupt it. They did not call it the "soulforce," it had been meant to create an army of thralls for the Harbingers to take control of Alathor - but without guidance, and combined with the Lifeforce, it became something else. While Life Force sustains all life, Soulforce is what gives a being its identity, will, and self-awareness. It is this force that allows creatures, particularly mortals, to transcend simple existence and act with autonomy, creativity, and even malice.

Life and Death Cycle:

Life Force enters Alathor from the Sun, and when a creature dies, its energy returns through the Moon Gate. If a soul has fulfilled its purpose, it seamlessly flows back to the cosmos. However, unfinished souls may become trapped and manifest as stars in the night sky, their Soulforce lingering, unable to fully rejoin the cosmic flow​​.
