Niala Tzihan

Early Life: A Fragile Dawn

Born blind in a small coastal enclave of southern Yeoria, Niala’s early life was suffused with the artistry of her Maian heritage and the discipline of her Nakhasi blood. Her deep blue skin shimmered like starlit water, a physical symbol of her duality. Raised in a home that valued creativity and introspection, her parents nurtured her difference instead of hiding it. They believed her blindness could become a wellspring of insight.

Awakening to Soulforce

As a child, Niala demonstrated an uncanny sensitivity to the emotional undercurrents around her—detecting moods, hidden sorrows, and unspoken truths. An elder bard recognized this latent gift as a rare perception of Soulforce—the spiritual current interwoven with Alathor’s very being.

The Calling of the Seers of Resh

At the tender age of eleven, she was approached by a mysterious blind Seer of Resh who beckoned her to "walk the darkness." Without fear, she left her home to dwell among the blind Seers in the cold sanctuaries of the north.   There, she trained her mind to perceive the Dreaming's echoes—learning "Dream-Touched Sight" to navigate by lifeforce and energy rather than light. She studied the whispers of history imprinted on places and objects and became a Dreamwalker, guiding souls through fear and grief.

Return South: The Summons of Lashtora

Feeling the Dreaming's pull too strongly after several years, and witnessing many Seers lose themselves to madness, Niala left the sanctuaries at sixteen. She returned south, bearing a frost-forged amulet—a token of Resh’s blessing and resilienceMortals of Alathor - Li….   She was drawn irresistibly to Lashtora, a city where sensual pleasures and artistic expression were treated as sacred pathways to enlightenment. Niala’s philosophies found a natural home in the Vessels of Ecstasy, where indulgence was a means of emotional healing.

Rising Among the Vessels

Initially serving as an assistant counselor, Niala quickly distinguished herself. Her approach fused the ecstatic indulgence of Lashtora with the self-reflective lessons of Resh. She taught patrons to see beyond base desires, using pleasure as a mirror to confront their truest selves.

Ascension to Head Vessel

Upon the retirement of the previous Head Vessel, Niala was chosen unanimously to lead. Her calm, grounded wisdom—likened to "winter-sprung clarity"—proved essential as political tensions from the theocratic regime of Aurorum grew. She continues to govern Lashtora’s sacred playground, balancing indulgence and reflection, protecting the city’s soul from corruption
