Tidespeakers
Acolytes of the Stormwielder, God of Change, the Tidespeakers were the first of the holy orders created after the Ascension. They were initially formed to help cull the Choral Sea of creatures that had become heavily imbued with the chaotic elemental energy loosed upon the world by the unstable Founts. Since then they have become one of the most renowned holy orders in the Federation.
Structure
Three separate branches of the Tidespeaker organization uphold different duties according to the Stormwielder's will. Acts of espionage and reconnaissance across the Federation are carried out by members of the Whispering Tide. The custodianship of the Stormwielder's temples, as well as the duties of prayer, research, and training of new recruits is carried out by the Singing Tide. The remaining warriors and athletes make up the Howling Tide, whose primary duty is to patrol the seas, hunting down elementally charged creatures that threaten the elemental balance upheld by the Stormwielder. Members of the Howling Tide most often become champions of the Stormwielder upon their death.
Public Agenda
The civil duties of the Tidespeakers include providing protective services for merchant ships and noble caravans, hunting elementally corrupted sea monsters, and representing the Stormwielder during festivals and public affairs.
