Combat Rules

So there a number of rules I changed from standard DnD. So here they are so you know what you letting yourself in for.,  

Flanking

Flanking works not just straight across with the enemy in the middle but also if their is any one in the 3 squares across from you. This allows for multiple combatants to gain flank between each other. This works both ways for enemy and players.  

Critical Hits

Critical hits do Max Damage + damage dice again so a Str +3 with a Greataxe would do 12+3+1D12 worth of damage. On top of this if the Damage Dice rolled is above half of the possible damage (so a D6, 4+ or D10 5+) you also roll on the Critical Injury chart based on the type of damage done.  

Healing

Healing in Godai isn't 100% succesful as it is worlds you may have been too before, in Godai, healing magic can only mend things that have happened in the last 10 minutes, if you loose a limb and you don't have a Cleric, Druid or Paladin around you better make friends with an friendly Artificer to make you a magitech replacement.   Resurrection: Revivify works every time all the time, but anything beyond that isn't a guaratee and requires a level of magic and connection to the soul you trying to return. Bar Revivify Spell, all resurrection spells can only be cast as a ritual, friends and family of the soul being requested to return can help in the ritual by offering up something to help the caster in contact and appealing for the soul to come back to them.
