Model Description

The GoatGuns Miniature Holographic Sight is modeled off the EOTech Model 5x Series. It is a painted die cast metal with glass lenses and does not require tools to install.

History of the Holographic Sight

The first holographic sight was introduced by EOTech in January 1996, only a year after the company's founding. The sight is non-magnifying but allows the user to see the reticule super imposed at a distance on the field of view regardless of the users’ eye position. Originally the holographic sight was designed for hunters and competition shooters, a few years later in 2001 they introduced models geared towards military and law enforcement. They produce various models that differ by size, weight, shape, night vision and magnification capabilities and mounting options depending on what you need.
