Humans
Once the most populous and widespread Kin humans have been reduced significantly by the War of the Fairy Bride and following Great Flood. As a result they are now only found in great numbers on the Chancel Plateau and within the Grey Bayou.
Humans are renowned for their physical endurance and tight communal bonds. The standard unit of human societies tend to be the family, sometimes called a clan, numbering between a dozen and a few hundred, all members descending from a common ancestor or married to such a descendant. If removed from their birth clan humans will attempt to join another or construct a found family from similarly dispossessed individuals.
They also possess an unrivaled ability to befriend and domesticate all manner of natural animals. Aurochs, bears, and camels, all at one point considered inherently wild creatures have been tamed to human service.
Civilization and Culture
History
A Dying Race- Traditionally held to be the first race of Kin, humans were the principle population of great kingdoms in the Age of Heroes. With the sinking of Old Ermor and the triumph of death in the north, humanity has been forever hobbled. Their old monuments and ruins now hold a place of awe and majesty among the Kin, some older than even the first recorded history of other races. It is for this reason that most undead in ancient tombs are human.
