Chancel Plateau
The Chancel is a dry unforgiving place where life is only possible under strong shelter along its few rivers or around springs. It is a land of freezing cold winters, burning summers, and storm-filled springs and autumns. Life is hard, but it does offer one thing above all else, safety. Attack on the Chancel from below is rendered impossible by its steep cliffs, one must enter through narrow stairways at the mercy of the Chancel's inhabitants, and its high winds make dragon flight a near certain failure. Those who live on the Chancel do so not for any luxury but security.
