Lines & Veils

Lines & Veils are safety tools to help avoid uncomfortable or triggering content / topics / themes throughout play and in the wider community of So Below. All community members are expected to have read through this list, and to strive to obey its rules. Slip-ups happen, but they should be accidents, not ignorance.
A Line is a topic which cannot be brought up, be used in play, or exist in the setting. It is simply something that doesn't exist or is ignored entirely, and never features in the game or discussions within the community.
A Veil is a topic which can be brought up, but should never be the focus of play, and should only realistically occur "off-screen". It can be referenced in the game, or in community discussions, but only when absolutely necessary, and in passing.
If you feel that someone is overstepping a Line or Veil, or you would like to add a new Line or Veil, please feel free to contact GM Bee (BenScerri#0563 on Discord). Any topic can be made into a Line or Veil (just note which one you need it to be), without questions asked.
