The Witherweavers Corrupted Will-o’-Wisps

Description: The Witherweavers are dim, flickering orbs of dark purple light. They float lower to the ground than their uncorrupted kin and leave a faint, smoky trail. Their playful nature has turned sinister, and they often appear near sites of death or decay.

Role: The Witherweavers are tricksters of the dark, leading travelers into dangerous, corrupted parts of the forest. They delight in watching the lost and desperate wander into the grasp of the Hollowkin or the corrupted waters of the forest pools.

Fate: The Witherweavers have lost their guiding purpose and now serve the dark entity, spreading fear and confusion. They are rarely seen near the uncorrupted parts of the forest, as the light repels them.
