History: 
Amethyst dragons are obsessed with the outer planes and the far realm specificly. They known the dangers that lie within it and seek to prevent it's corrupting influences from reaching into our realm. Aleithilithos was no different than the other Amethyst dragons, except he decided to create and devote a church to fighting the creatures from the far realm and preventing the spread of it's corruption. Aleithilithos was slain in the assault on the citadel of Tiamat. After his a dragonborn known as Hamleith the devoted took the dragons place as it's leader.

Known goals and plans:
The church of the Amethyst dragon only has one goal: Find abberations from the far realm, hunt them down, kill them and purge any influence they had on this world. Their goal is often seen a simple minded and makes the church dangerous. They are hell bend on destroying the influences of the far realm, often blinding them to the consequences of their actions.
