Henry Eligos

The hardworking scout

Henry Eligos was a a scout primarily and an arqubusier secondarily. Working mainly with the Conglomerate and the Icemads, he made enough of a living to sustain himself and his family. The man went missing shortly after a contract to gather intelligence on the Splintered Shield's activity in Conglomerate territory. No body or known possessions were ever recovered. Despite this, he is considered to be killed in action, rather than missing in action.

Identifying Characteristics

Eligos has a very chiseled and troubled face. From both trauma and his ethnicity as a Vegras, his skin has faded into a sickly grey, dissimilar to an Onsir skin tone.

Apparel & Accessories

Fitted and padded trousers, with a baggy overshirt and padded undershirt. Leather gloves and gauntlets are worn for protection, and sometimes a brigandine for more combat-oriented contracts.

Specialized Equipment

Eligos' iconic weapon is a small handgun, with a magically enhanced sight and sharp blade attached to the base. He also owns an illusionary mask, gifted to him as payment from the Icemads. When worn, the mask will present itself as something powerful and horrifying to anyone planning to assault him.

Personal history

Henry was one of the rare few Vegras to be born through magic bestowed from an Eternal, rather than human incantations or engineering. Living in a troubled household with a fatally ill mother and a missing father, Henry Eligos spent most of his youth being cohered into joining a mercenary academy. He eventually left home to study at the academy, taking a course on gunmanship and reconnaissance. Despite disliking the conglomerate, the vast majority of his employment opportunities came from them, and compensated him with enough money to buy a respectable house. From his graduation onwards he kept a large, sturdy journal hanging from his hip. He vented all his frustrations and worries into the book, possibly only truly being himself when his hands were between the pages. Henry Eligos' journal was not found during the search for his body.

Gunmanship - A course entailing contextual knowledge of common firearms, being able to distinguish between mechanical, magical, and other types of guns, as well as an extensive induction on how to use, train, and improve with accuracy, stability and thinking speed.
Reconnaissance - A course consisting of how to remain undetected as well as spotting obvious red flags with enemy structure layout, noticing weaknesses in guard placement and estimating storage locations for sensitive information.
