Mechaniczni Wyspiarze

One of the few people without a God surviving as a coherent group, the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze are wonders of science, every single subgroup is a mechanical being. Metal and oil replacing flesh and blood. They no longer worship their fallen deity, following one of the Triad, or as the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze say, 'Triada'.

Subgroups

The Mechaniczni Wyspiarze are split into a handful of Subgroups, though, similar to how the rest of the world sees skin, scale, or fur color, there is minimal animosity between the groups.

Klasa Pierwsza

The original, the Klasa Pierwsza, or Tarcica, are massive, towering mechanicals, some standing as tall as a Heimatwelt Bodenfräser, a few even larger. They are old, some old enough to remember their fallen God. Many are situated in the underground bunkers that the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze call home. Living their lives, rarely seeing the surface. Constantly being checked on, and rebuilt by newer models. Though a few are still built, and a few have even seen current era combat. One assisted in the Siege of Yandu Castle, and another at the 3rd Wave of the Monster Portal.

Klasa Druga

The Nietypowe, or Klasa Druga, are the second subgroup of Mechaniczni Wyspiarze. Designed for specialized jobs, the Nietypowe have no specific designs, and look abnormal. Build for jobs that the Tarcica could not do. They are just as sentient as all other subgroups.

Klasa Trzecia

The most common Mechaniczni Wyspiarze, with almost humanoid features. The Metalowe Kości are what most beings think of when they think of the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze, sometimes looking similar to skeletons, with their mechanical and eletronical insides visiable, or having plastic like 'skin', called 'Skóra pancerza' that is pure white, and hard to the touch. Most Metalowe Kości are of Skóra Pancerza variety, as it makes them less uncanny for visitors, or being out of their underground bunkers. Their left hand can be removed, and replaced with a varity of different tools, most commonly a arm mounted Karabin Bezłuskowy.

Klasa ŻA

Klasa ŻA, or Klasa Żyjących Androidów, are the most humanoidlike subgroup, with lab grown skin, synthetic hair, 'Żywy Metal', a living material used for muscle, and 'organs', that allow them to gain extra energy by eating food. The Żyjących Androidów look very close to human, though they move a little heavier, due to the mechanical insides, and they bleed oil.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Zmechanizowane, or Droidspeak, is common among the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze, just as speaking Common is. The language is well suited to them, as their electronic minds can easily form the sounds, learning Zmechanizowane is harder for an organic being, although some ŻA have trouble with it as well.
Some of the Tarcica speak Binarne, which is a very old language, and only the Tarcica know it enough to speak it, though some others can recongnize and understand some.

Culture and cultural heritage

For as long as many people can remember, the Mechaniczni were always what they are: Mechanical beings with sentience and a conscience. Brought into being by their fallen deity, their code is lightyears ahead of anything that even the Commonwealth can create.
Before the Gods War, they lived above ground in massive sprawling metropolises. The entire island chain was taken up with these cities, until bombing raids begun, forcing the Mechaniczni to hide below ground, safe from the bombs. When Stepmor finally landed, they could not find a single being alive, and deduced that the people must have been killed during the air raids, as all communication had stopped from the island chains. Many years later, a Heiamtwelt science team stumbled on one of the entrances, revealing that the droids had simply gone underground, and were thriving.
The Mechaniczni are deep believers in intellect, their culture represents this, with large places of learning being well deveoped and funded.

Shared customary codes and values

The Mechaniczni Wyspiarze are robotic beings, as such, they have very detailed programming. Their fallen God gave them the gift of sentience, their minds automaticlly rewrite code as needed. No Mechaniczni can purposfully rewrite their code, and they cannot be hacked.
Many of the Mechaniczni follow the Goddess Ellara, as her code of morals is easier for their logical minds to understand, compared to Honmosia, though a good number follow her, and Ubas.

Common Etiquette rules

While not having gestures of their own, many of the Mechaniczni use gestures from other countrys, including the Heimatwelter handshake, the Maiti bow, the Whitehowler 'hat tip'. Which they do by putting their middle, pointer, and thumb together, and holding it a few centimeters from their head, and pulling it, and their head down.
Among the Mechaniczni, it is common to require a fill up of fuel. It is common courtisy to step away, or retreat to a restroom to do so, as it is a very private thing. The only time it is done outside of privacy is among friends, or in military settings, where one cannot get away.

Common Dress code

Clothing in general is not a major part of most Mechaniczni lives, the closest thing they have is paint. Most Mechaniczni paint (or have painted) intricate designs on their metal. Though Klasa Trzecia and Klasa ŻA don't paint themselves often. Trzecia might paint their head, and arms, and ŻA might get tattoos.

Art & Architecture

Mechaniczni bunkers are built with lots of lighting on the inside, with black, grey, white, and blue. Kept immaculately clean by Klasa Druga droids. They do not build above ground often, but when they do they build log cabins, as a sort of cover against Stepmor.
Their art is mostly centered around music, as a single Mechaniczni can play an entire orchestra by themselves. Many well known singers, playwriters, or film directors will hire Mechaniczni musictions to play, compose, or work alongside.

Foods & Cuisine

The Mechaniczni 'foods' are ethanol based liquids, though some Metalowe Kości have started eating little cubes of the fuel, to make tourists feel more welcome in the bunkers.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Leaving an open space during meals

During the Gods War, many of the Mechaniczni were fighting, as such, those who remained always left an open seat at the fueling table, in hopes that their loved ones would return. Sometimes they did, sometimes the chair was left empty.

Impreza żałobna

Before the year slips into the next, the Mechaniczni gather together to celebrate the new year, the memories of the old year, and those who didn't make it to see it, from old family and friends. Lots of music, and what could be considered 'dancing' is done, with gifts being given as commemoration and thanks.

Funerary and Memorial customs

When a Mechaniczni can no longer function, they shut off, their code is permanently deleted, and any attempts to revive the droid are futile. The droid essentially becomes a statue.
Some Mechanczni request that they be torn down for spare parts, and used to build new generations, others request that they be melted down and used to continue the expansion of the bunkers. Still more request to be treated like an organic, and be placed in the ground

Common Taboos

Mechaniczni are tuned to body language and tone of voice, so someone standing in an agressive stance, or using a egotistical tone are more likely to be viewed with sucipiton by a Mechaniczni.
If in a group, it is rude to speak with only one person. One should speak with the entire group.
Referring to them as 'Toasters', 'appliances', or anything indicating nonautonomy will quickly anger a Mechaniczni.

Historical figures

Dzień Marzyciel

A well known and active Mechaniczni Klasa Trzecia artist, Dzień has perfected their own style of art. If there is a portrait of a Mechaniczni, it is highly likely that Dzień did it.

Ignacy Pacek

A Klasa Pierwsza, one of the newest build, Ignacy assisted in the Siege of Yandu. Somehow he, and the Klasa Trzecia that he was commanding angered a horde of Orcs that had gotten their hands on a large amount of Stepmorian weapons. Igancy wedged himself in the large front door, blocking anything from getting inside, and using his assortment of weapons to hold the enemy at bay, until finally the damage was enough, and his code was released. The battle was won shortly afterward, and Igancy was buried at Yandu castle.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Due to their wide expanse of types, shapes, sizes, and so on. The droids of the Mechaniczni Wyspiarze don't care about 'beauty'. The closest thing they have to beauty is enjoying a Fibonacci sequence in nature, or a streamlined design process.
