Food of Heimatwelt

Food is an important part of life, and culture. Those in Gi Tis Synkomidís Sidírou each have their own cultures and food, each of them different than the other.  

Alles Als Eins Heimatwelt

Heimatwelters eat a lot of meat, though they aren't picky. Sometimes taking staples of other cultures food and introducing them to their own, like the Fisch und Brezeln.

Large meals

While snacks are common place in Heimatwelt, a lot of people decide to simply eat a full meal. As their Heimatwelter blood increases their metabolism
Breakfast
Depending on the Heimatwelter, breakfast is more just a small lunch and a larger lunch is had later. Or it is entirely skipped.
 

Wurstpfannkuchen

One of the more common breakfasts, Wurstpfannkuchen is a decently balanced breakfast, with a fluffy flapjack, doused in syrup, sometimes made with berries, bananas, nuts, or chocolate. Butter is also placed on the flapjack, and as it melts it seeps into the innards of the flapjack. A large sausage, chopped in half, longwise, is placed beside the flapjack(s).
 

Mit Ei Umhüllte Kartoffel

A breakfast of farmers, Mit Ei Umhüllte Kartoffel is slices of potato, cooked with spices, wrapped in a scrambled egg, almost like an omlette. The egg itself is cooked with butter, to give it a creamy taste. It is sometimes made with bacon, or other types of meat for more protein. It can also be served with cheese.
 

Apfelteller Kuchen

Although Heimatwelters eat mostly protein focused meals, Apfelteller Kuchen is the exception. A thin apple cake, made with vanilla batter, with a pinch of cinnamon. The outside of the cake is a little crunchy, and the inside is nice and moist, with apple chunks inside. Sometimes the top of the cake has a whipped custard. It is usually coupled with eggs on the side, just to add some protein.
Lunch/Dinner
Lunch and Dinner do not differ much in Heimatwelt, in terms of food.
 

Geflügelstreifen

Cut strips of poultry, namely chicken. Breaded with crispy beer batter and served with a choice of sauce. Sides often include long potato strips, small potato rounds, or mashed potatoes. Also served with a large leaf of lettuce
 

Wurst und Brezeln

One of the most common meals in Heimatwelt, Wurst und Brezeln is sold everywhere. Served with a long sausage, sometimes cooked with onions and spices. Paired with a twisty piece of fluffy bread, sometimes lightly salted. Served with either liquified cheese, a type of tangy tomato sauce, or a sweet frosting made out of sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla.
 

Geflügel, Speck, Kopfsalat, Tomate (GSKT)

A sandwich made with poultry, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Commonly served with toasted bread, although regular bread is normal as well. The poultry is cut up into long, thinner strips, and lettuce is placed on top, then bacon, sometimes cheese, tomato, and more bacon.
 

Käsemakkaroni mit Rindfleisch

Macaroni, made with cheese sauce. Topped with shredded beef. Sometimes onions are added, along with grated cheese on the top. Usually served with a sandwich, or other meal. But is considered a meal on its own.
 

Gefüllte Kartoffelküchlein

A mixture of potato, flour, egg, and water, mixed into a type of dough. It is then stuffed with cheese, meat, rice, veggies, or sometimes even fruit. Cooked in a pan with spices, or sugars. Normally served in multiple.
 

Eingewickeltes Fleisch

A thick, juciy slab of steak, cooked with spices and herbs, and a light lemon sauce. Stuffed into a thin bread, and wrapped with smoked bacon, which is cooked with sugar and Ghost Pine smoke. Served with mashed potatos and Winzige Fleischtaschen.
 

Dickflüssige Rahmcremesuppe

A stew, made with creamed milk and broth, along with chopped up beef, onions, potatos, chives, and bacon. The bacon is cooked with lemon juice, and the beef is cooked until it melts in the mouth. It's mostly paired with Heimatwelt Flusen Flusen Brot.
 

Suppe der Verbindung

Once only used during weddings, Suppe der Verbindung has made its way to the common market. Made with meat based broth, along with some lemon juices. The soup has chopped up onions, potatoes, chives, carrots, and beans, along with meatballs made from sausage, long noodles, small chunks of beef, and even some crunched up crackers. It is served as a table meal, along with Flusen Flusen Brot.
 

Eintopf mit Brot und Bier

Another large table stew, Eintopf Mit Brot und Bier is a party stew. Made with beef stewed in beer, chopped up onions, garlic, nutmeg, and at least a stick of butter, along with torn up bits of Flusen Flusen Brot and chives, and crunched crackers.
 

Fisch und Brezeln

Very similar to Wurst und Brezeln, Fisch und Brezeln is mostly sold on the coastlines. Made up of strips of battered, or unbattered fish, cooked in herbs and beer, along with the same pretzel. The Maiti that live in Heimatwelt tend to choose this, although their own food has made it into Heimatwelter food places.

Appetizers/Sides

Heimatwelters normally need more than a simple meal to be full, which Appetizers and Sides come into play.
 

Flusen Flusen Brot

A fluffy, almost flakey bread, Flusen Flusen Brot is similar to a biscuit. Most Flusen Flusen Brot has an almost melty texture. Commonly served with jam, butter, or another type of spread.
 

Winzige Fleischtaschen.

A small pocket of meat and cheese, wrapped with a garlicy wheat dough. Sometimes served with a bit of internal sauce, it can also be served with a small bowl of sauce.
 

Kartoffelbrötchen

Similar to Gefüllte Kartoffelküchlein, but with no internal stuff. It is made of grated potato, milk, butter, flour, and egg. Rolled into small balls and fried in oil. Served in a small bowl, sometimes with sauce.
 

Brotstangen

In larger restaurants, Brotstangen are a bottomless appetizer. Served in a basket that is refilled when it gets low. Brotstangen are long sticks of fluffy bread, coated with butter and garlic, sometimes cheese. Served with different sauces. A variant of Brotstangen, called Süße Brotstangen, is made with a sugar butter, along with cinnamon and a glaze of frosting.
 

Chips und Dip

Served in both restaurants, and made at home, Chips Und Dip is exactly what is sounds like; Salty tortilla chips with different variants of dips.

Dessert
While Heimatwelters eat a large amount of protein, they also enjoy sweets of many varieties.
 

Glasiertes Kaffeebrot

Sometimes eaten as a morning food, Glasiertes Kaffeebrot is officially a dessert. It is made by pressing coffee beans into a pure juice, then applying that juice into dough. Baking it and putting a sweet glaze over the top. It can made into varying types of bread, the most common type is a fluffy white bread.
 

Geschichtete Götterspeise

A layered bowl dessert, made from gelatin, fruit, and a cold whipped cream, made of chocolate, vanilla, or some other type of flavor. A layer of gelatin is placed on the bottom of the bowl, which is filled with fruits. The gelatin is then chilled, and a layer of whipped cream is put on top, along with a pattern of whatever fruit is inside of the gelatin.
 

Mandelkuchen mit Schokoladenüberzug

A long cake, drizzled in chocolate, with almonds inside of the cake itself. Made with eggs, sugar, flour, yeast, butter, and milk, and crushed almonds. The chocolate is melted, then poured onto the cake. Almonds are then put on top of the chocolate before it hardens.
