Prima Magi, the only place on the planet where magic works and technology does not. You can fire your laser, you cant even fire your gun powered gun, the gunpower does not explode. You cant fly a plane or a drive a vehicle unless it is powered by clockwork or stream, and these are very hard to make and build.   Its it where 90% of the fighting happens now, the controlling of the 3 gates and the lands around the ancient city is key to controlling the landmass. The Humans have 1 gate, the Orks have another, and the Trolls and infected swap control of third. The Trolls are trying to enact a peace accord with Humans and Elves to help push the infected off the land but it has not been signed yet.   Approaching the land mass is dangerous, not only because of the mists that steal the tech ability to work and gives 0% visibility, but the army magic tech weapons set to defend the beach heads so no only else can land troops. If you approach on a side your people control, you can still be fired at from nearby lands others control with the ranges of the magic tech weapons reaching miles. The safest way to get to the lands is by gate, but even that has dangers.   Most races have floating bases on other side of the mists, which they fly their people to, then using magi tech boats navigate through the mists and onto the controlled shores under cover of magi tech warship escorts. They only risk trips once every few weeks unless there is a great need. The war ships have wall of force generators to protect their transports but it leaves themselves open to attack.   The lands itself is one of a warzone, constant fighting and magics thrown around has little left growing on the ground. Some of the terrain is transformed by the battles so one time it could be hill area which are flatted then mountains grown in its place. Defensive transformation magics are common in the battlefield control magic through around.   The most powerful spell casters are sent here to combat and try to gain as much land as each race can gain. The ruin city is the prize, that is where all the most powerful magic is left, where the books of lore are found and taken, and where items of great power are found. Some can only be used in the city, while other items can be taken away to be studied by the ones finding it.   It is said the gods walk the city, observing and looking for their own treasures. They are stories of them appearing when a great find is hand to demand it given up to them. Those that refused normally are not seen again....   The races do not let just anyone come to this location, its one of the most restricted areas on the planet and it takes a good amount of pull to be allow to come here. Even Nobels can not just snap their fingers and given access.   When entering the Mists or stepping onto the landmass out of a gate say, the tech you bring will work for about 1 min before it gets shut down.
