Description: Kuapua'a guards the elemental plane of water, and is unable to leave for an extended period of time. Her children are tasked with watching over the various bodies of water in A'oteroa. Kuapua'a assumes many forms, including a colorful Vent linnorm (p. 239), giant squid, giant kraken, dragon turtle. Her most common form is a sperm whale with bright orange eyes. In every form Kuapua'a is recognized by her orange irises and the glowing constellation circling her left eye.
Wants: She has a fascination with the stars and loves things with the stars crafted in them and is especially interested in things created by meteors.
Needs: Kuapua'a needs her children freed from the grasps of the Elder One to restore balance in the waters of A'oteroa.
Dislikes: Disrespect towards the power of the sea or her children, insolence, Maono'o, being trapped, dwarves,
Relationships: While she cares for each of her children, there is a clear hierarchy and chain of power. Some of her children bristle under her authority. While she was away watching the stars, followers of the elder one corrupted three of her children. She has a rivalry with Maono'o, the mountain patron on the rock plane, whom she views as taunting her with his power and rigidness.
Boons: expanded spell list, when the wearer fails an ability check they can add a d4 to the roll, potentially turning the roll into a success. This benefit can be used a number of times equal to the proficiency bonus and all expended uses are restored when you finish a long rest.

Method of Communication: dreams, visions, cuddle fish, sea foam, pebbles and shells
Typical Pact and Consequences: In exchange for freeing her children from the grasp of the Elder One, Kuapua'a grants the warlock magical abilities, and mild protection in and on the water. If the warlock turns against Kuapua'a they will loose all magical abilities, be targeted by storms/hurricanes, and be chased by a whale who intends to eat them.

    Other notes/What do I know...   Kuapua'a dwells in the deep ocean and sees herself as the protector of the deep. Things have fallen out of balance, and her children enslaved. Children protect and guard different bodies of water: Aramouth Basin, Lymerian Sea, Pa'anua Straight.   Children forms: Kraken, Whale, Ikuchi (ToB2 p.210)
